K9 Central Team - Shayne Jarvis-O'ConnorAs the daughter of Morgan Jarvis and Brian O’Connor, owner/operators of K9 Central, Shayne has spent her entire life caring for, competing with and sharing her life with dogs.

At the age of 7, Shayne received her first dog Blaise. Blaise was trained in flyball, agility and eventually participated in the SuperDogs shows.

Jen Esplen

 Jen started working at K9 Central Pet Resort Training and Spa Inc. in Spring of 2012. Jen has always loved animals. She teaches Basic Manners, Radical Recall and Dock Diving. Jen used to not be involved in the dog sport world.

Irene Mullan

K9 Central Team - Irene Mullan

Irene has a been an instructor at K9 Central since the fall of 2012, she teaches the Open, Utility and Novice Competition Obedience classes at K9 Central.

For almost 40 years, Irene has been training and competing with her Golden and Labrador Retrievers in Obedience, Rally and Field events throughout Canada and the United States. She joined her first obedience club in Montreal in 1972 and trained a German Shepherd, a Bouvier, and a Beagle before switching to retrievers. In addition, she has earned conformation breed championships on 3 of her dogs, and has actively participated in tracking and agility training and events.

Joan Reid

K9 Central Team - Joan ReidJoan has been helping people train their dogs for over 30 years.

Many of her students have attained their titles in Rally and have enjoyed the relaxed fun atmosphere of being able to communicate with their dogs while learning new skills.

Not as formal as competitive obedience, the dog and handler use directional signs to work through a numbered, timed course. All the stations are basic obedience moves and the courses are different at every trial, so you can’t get bored or anticipate whats coming next .

Kim Bond

K9 Central Team - Kim BondKim Bond simply loves working with and having fun with her dogs, Odie and Angus.

A licensed falconer, she can be seen working her hawks in the field with Odie, her rescued Jack Russell/Cairn Terrier. Odie loves her job working the brush because isn’t that what all terriers dream of doing?!

But it is Angus, Kim’s border collie, that has truly inspired Kim to enter into the world of dog sports and tricks training.
