
Irene has a been an instructor at K9 Central since the fall of 2012, she teaches the Open, Utility and Novice Competition Obedience classes at K9 Central.
For almost 40 years, Irene has been training and competing with her Golden and Labrador Retrievers in Obedience, Rally and Field events throughout Canada and the United States. She joined her first obedience club in Montreal in 1972 and trained a German Shepherd, a Bouvier, and a Beagle before switching to retrievers. In addition, she has earned conformation breed championships on 3 of her dogs, and has actively participated in tracking and agility training and events.

Joan has been helping people train their dogs for over 30 years.
Many of her students have attained their titles in Rally and have enjoyed the relaxed fun atmosphere of being able to communicate with their dogs while learning new skills.
Not as formal as competitive obedience, the dog and handler use directional signs to work through a numbered, timed course. All the stations are basic obedience moves and the courses are different at every trial, so you can’t get bored or anticipate whats coming next .
