About Mackenzie:
Mackenzie started working at K9 Central Pet Resort Training and Spa Inc. in February of 2011. Mackenzie or “Mack” as all staff like to call her works in the K9 Suites and Play-All- Day/ Daycare programs. From September 2010 to January 2011 Mackenzie completed her co-operative education program.
During her co-op placement Mackenzie worked hard to learn the ins and outs of the business and as result she was hired on as a staff member. Mackenzie enjoys learning and completed the mandatory course taught by K9 Central Daycare/ Boarding Manager and behaviourist Brenna Wilson. The course helped Mackenzie to learn proper dog socialization, body language and behaviour theory. As well in November of 2014 Mack took her pet first aid certification. She learned the proper way to care for sick or injured animals until they are able to get veterinary treatment. Mackenzie has always loved dogs and finally convinced her parents to get their family dog Koda in 2011. Koda is a Bernese Mountain/ German Shepard Cross and is 3 years old. In 2012 Mackenzie purchased her very own dog Nalla; she is a Border Collie/ Lab/ Belgian Shepherd cross. Mackenzie adores working with her dogs; she has taken training classes and private lessons with her dogs. As well Mackenzie frequently takes some of the Standard Poodle Rescues home. She plays an active role in helping the rescue organization know how the dogs are in a home environment and what their likes and dislikes are. She continues to learn and grow through the help and tutoring of her fellow employees.
